Contract To Hire

Our exclusive software development client in Tempe is hiring a React Native Developer on a 3-month, contract-to-hire engagement (this will convert to a permanent position). The client’s flagship, data-intensive SaaS applications, deployed via web and just “mobile ready”, are used by tens-of-thousands of subscribers. However, they just launched their first native iOS and Android apps in March 2019, only offering one of their suite of products, and had great success. So, the next phase is to develop and launch their entire suite of products via native mobile apps.  Reporting to the Application Development Director and collaborating with other web application developers on an Agile/SCRUM team, this React Native developer will first focus on continued development on recently deployed version 1.x of their Android app (iOS already developed separately using Swift) and follow the road map to bring all the web functionality to mobile.  This will be using React Native to deploy native Android initially, and potentially iOS in the future. This role is a unique opportunity to take your React Native experience into the mobile dev future at a data-centric, software development company that is growing.   • 3+ months of React Native development (at least one project you have lead from conception to launch)
  • 1 year of ReactJS, ES6 and Redux front-end development experience with a strong desire to move into React Native mobile app dev
  • 5+ years total JavaScript front-end development, and object-oriented programming
  • API integration experience
  • Experience working in an Agile / SCRUM environment
  • Understanding of the various design patterns used in mobile development and how to implement them

Just Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Experience with server-side Node.js
  • SQL query abilities
  • Prior native Android or native iOS development
  • SQLite with React Native
